Starting from a desire to improve the online working platform used by EIGSI students, professors and administration members, a competition has been created for all the second year students of my school. This competition opposed groups of around 20 students to define the needs of the website by asking students and professors, to be able to list all the functionalities to implement, all the data needed and the best way to classify those informations with a class diagram, and then finish with the creation of all the interfaces of this new website.

One of the best functionality that my team designed was a way to monitor clearly the grades obtained by a student. With this page, the student was able to see on a customisable page a lot of different diagrams presenting his evolution, his position in the class, his strength and weaknesses, and the tutor of the class was able to see with a good precision which student needed help, in relation with the number of classes missed to define if it came from a lack of motivation or some simple difficulties to understand the classes.

With this work, my team finished at the third place with a special award for our interfaces. This project taught me to work in big groups with all the organisation and management it implies. It also gave me a good vision of an iterative project for A to Z, that could exist in a company working on creating online professional tools for their clients.
